Fort Thomas is located in Campbell County, Kentucky and has a population of 16,325, making it the largest city in Campbell County. The city is also part of the Cincinnati – Nothern Kentucky metropolitan area.  Fort Thomas was settled in 1867. It was named in honor of Civil War General George Henry Thomas who gained notoriety and ranks among the top Union Generals of the War. In 1887; a site was needed to house a United States Army post, as the old Army post was prone to flooding. In 1890, Fort Thomas was established. Fort Thomas was incorporated in 1914.
